2-Year Warranty & Authenticity
1. Slieve Watches Warranty
Unless otherwise stated on the individual product listing, new watches sold by Slieve Watches are covered by the 2-Year Slieve Watches Warranty from the date of purchase. This includes eligible Slieve Watches models and third-party branded watches supplied with our warranty.
Watches sold as part of the Slieve Watches Value Collection are not covered by the 2-Year Slieve Watches Warranty. Your statutory consumer rights continue to apply to Value Collection purchases.
2. What the Warranty Covers
During the warranty period, Slieve Watches will assess eligible faults affecting the proper operation of the watch.
Depending on the nature of the fault, an appropriate warranty remedy may include repair, adjustment or replacement of defective components, at no charge to you where the issue is covered by this warranty.
Where appropriate, movement regulation may also be carried out as part of warranty service.
Any replacement component may be an equivalent component of comparable specification where the original component is no longer reasonably available.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage or deterioration resulting from normal wear and tear or circumstances unrelated to a defect in materials, assembly or workmanship.
Examples of items or damage not normally covered include:
• scratches, dents, marks or other cosmetic wear to the case, crystal, bezel, bracelet, clasp or other external components;
• normal deterioration or wear of straps, bracelets, clasps and finishes;
• damage caused by accident, impact, misuse, neglect or improper handling;
• damage caused by unauthorised repair, modification, alteration or opening of the watch;
• damage caused by exposure to conditions outside the stated specifications of the watch;
• damage resulting from strong magnetic fields or other external influences where no defect in the watch is present; and
• loss, theft or damage occurring after the watch has been delivered to the customer.
Water damage is not covered where it results from use beyond the watch's stated water-resistance rating, operation of the crown or controls while exposed to water where inappropriate, an unsecured crown, damage to the case or seals, or other use inconsistent with the watch's specifications.
Water resistance can diminish over time and should be periodically checked where a watch is regularly exposed to water.
4. Mechanical Watch Accuracy
Mechanical watches are not expected to maintain the same accuracy as quartz watches. Normal variations in timekeeping can occur depending on movement specification, wearing habits, position, temperature, power reserve and other factors.
Where a Slieve mechanical watch is operating materially outside the expected specification of its movement during the warranty period, please contact us. Where appropriate, regulation or adjustment will be carried out without charge under warranty.
Normal variation within the movement manufacturer's expected operating range is not considered a defect.
5. Making a Warranty Claim
If you believe your Slieve watch has developed a fault covered by this warranty, please contact info@slievewatches.com before returning the watch.
Please provide your name, order or purchase details where available, a description of the issue and, where useful, photographs or video showing the problem.
We may ask you to return the watch for inspection before determining whether the issue is covered by warranty. Please do not send a watch to us without first receiving return instructions.
If the fault is confirmed as covered by this warranty, Slieve Watches will provide an appropriate warranty remedy and will cover reasonable return and redelivery costs associated with the valid warranty claim.
If inspection determines that the issue is not covered by this warranty, we will contact you before carrying out any chargeable repair or other work.
6. Warranty Repairs & Replacement Parts
Warranty work will be carried out using suitable parts appropriate to the watch. Where an identical component is unavailable, an equivalent component of comparable specification may be used with your agreement where appropriate.
Repair or replacement under this warranty does not reduce any statutory rights you may have. Any repaired or replacement product will remain covered in accordance with applicable consumer law and any remaining commercial warranty entitlement.
7. Third-Party & Pre-Owned Watches
Watches manufactured by third-party brands and offered for sale by Slieve Watches are sold as genuine products and are sourced through established wholesale or secondary-market supply channels. Slieve Watches is an independent retailer and is not an authorised dealer, agent or representative of any third-party watch brand unless expressly stated otherwise.
Unless specifically stated on the product listing, third-party branded watches are supplied with the 2-Year Slieve Watches Warranty rather than a manufacturer's warranty. Original manufacturer packaging, documentation, warranty cards or registration materials may be included where supplied; their inclusion does not necessarily mean that a manufacturer's warranty is active or transferable.
Pre-owned watches are individually inspected and their condition, known faults and relevant replacement or aftermarket components will be described on the product listing where applicable.
All third-party brand names, trademarks and logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify and describe the products offered for sale. Their use does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation or authorised-dealer status. Watches specifically designated as part of the Slieve Watches Value Collection are excluded from the 2-Year Slieve Watches Warranty, as stated above and on the applicable product listing.
8. Proof of Purchase & Transferability
Proof of purchase may be required when making a warranty claim. This may include an order confirmation, receipt, warranty documentation or other reasonable evidence showing the original purchase and date.
Where a Slieve watch is transferred to another owner during the original warranty period, the remaining warranty may continue with the watch provided satisfactory proof of the original purchase and warranty commencement date can be supplied.
The warranty period does not restart when ownership of the watch changes.
9. Your Statutory Rights
This 2-year warranty is a commercial warranty provided by Slieve Watches and is in addition to your statutory consumer rights.
Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts or replaces any rights or remedies available to you under Irish or applicable European Union consumer law in relation to faulty or non-conforming goods.
Your statutory rights may apply independently of, and in some circumstances extend beyond, the terms or duration of this commercial warranty.
