Slieve ERA 38 Automatic

The Slieve Era 38 combines unmistakable 1970s-inspired styling with the reliability of a modern Japanese automatic movement.

Its compact 38 mm stainless-steel cushion case is paired with an integrated steel bracelet, giving the Era 38 the distinctive flowing profile associated with sports and dress watches of the period.

The centrepiece is the awesome sunburst dial. Its radial brushed finish changes character dramatically with the light, moving from a restrained warm colour indoors to a much brighter metallic tone in direct sunlight. Applied silver-tone baton markers, matching hands and the raised Slieve emblem provide a clean contrast without overpowering the dial.

At 3 o'clock, a framed day/date display adds everyday practicality while retaining the watch's vintage character.

Inside is the proven Seiko Instruments NH36 automatic movement, providing automatic and hand winding, hacking seconds and a day/date complication. The movement can also be viewed as a practical, serviceable mechanical platform designed for everyday use.

A raised acrylic crystal completes the period-inspired appearance, giving the dial the warmer reflections and subtle distortion characteristic of vintage watches.
